The Midland Figure Skating Club is delighted to invite you to the 2009 Eastern Great Lakes Regional Figure Skating Championships to be held at the Midland Civic Arena in Midland, Michigan. We are planning for a wonderful week of skating, and hope that the following information will answer your questions.

Latest Updates

Online Practice Ice Reservation/Changes will be turned OFF at 8:00 pm Tuesday Oct 7, so that the LOC can do its final preparations for your arrival. If you need to make changes or additions after then, you may do them at the rink.

The final Schedule of Events, including initial Practice Ice assignments are now posted. Online Practice Ice Reservation and Changes will be enabled at 7:00 pm Thursday Oct 2. Inital assignments for PI sessions are now posted, check them out so you will be ready to make whatever changes you need once we enable Reservation/Changes. Everyone should have received an email on Wednesday with final instructions for how to log on and change sessions if desired. It also included a reminder of your PIN number. Registration for the 2009 Eastern Great Lakes Regional Championships is now closed. We look forward to seeing you here at the event !!

The deadline for entry into the 2009 Qualifying Competition Season is Sep 1 2008. All competitors, regardless of whether or not their first competition is at the regional championships must register by this deadline. This includes ALL pairs and dance teams who have their first competition at the sectional championships as well as ALL competitors who have or will receive a bye advancing them out of the regional championships! To complete the registration process, go to www.usfsaonline.org as online registration is the only method in which to enter for Qualifying events.

 

Arena Details

The competition will be held at the Midland Civic Arena, 405 Fast Ice Drive, Midland, Michigan 48642, which is a new three sheet facility. The qualifying competition and some practice ice will be held on the Olympic rink, which is 200’ x 100’ with seating for 1200. The non-qualifying competition and most of the practice ice will be held on the South rink which is 200” x 85’ with seating for 250. If needed, some practice ice may be scheduled on the North rink which is also 200’ x 85’. Locker rooms will be available.
